Jan 10, 2011 | 1:50 PM

An outbreak of a respiratory illness has been declared among long-term care residents at Arborfield & District Health Care Facility, about 150 kilometers east of Prince Albert.

Visitors to long-term care residents are being restricted as the result of the outbreak.

In addition, activities have been canceled and precautions have been put in place to help contain and minimize the spread of the virus.

Symptoms similar to those associated with respiratory illness have been reported among three residents since Jan. 7. Symptoms include coughing and fever.
