Sudden death investigation underway near Fort Qu’Appelle

A sudden death investigation is underway near Fort Qu'Appelle after a body was found Wednesday afternoon.

The discovery was made around 12:30 p.m. on the Muscowpetung First Nation.

“The deceased is a 30-year-old male from that residence,” says Sgt. Paul Dawson with the RCMP. “He was discovered by his brother who had been attempting to contact him throughout the morning. Then he went over to the residence and found out he was deceased.”

The investigation is still ongoing at the scene with the help of RCMP Major Crimes, Regina Forensic Identification Unit, members from Fort Qu'Appelle and
the Provincial Coroner's Office and RCMP police dogs.
