Business deal signed by province’s Métis

The ink is still drying on an agreement that could benefit four northern Saskatchewan Métis communities.

Beauval, Cole Bay, Ile á la Crosse and Jans Bay have signed the Primrose Resources Corporation.

“The business charter's purpose is really to set out the terms of reference or how this new corporation will work, how the board of directors will be selected, what kinds of projects they are going to consider for wealth creation,” said Westcap Manager Vern Bachiu, who’s company is helping.

The four communities will work together to create businesses for 2,600 people in the region.
