Great Programs at St. Michael Community School

HOME READING CHALLENGE Starting In January, the grades 1 – 5 classes will be taking part in a home reading challenge. Each teacher will be choosing 3 students from their class to be recognized in our hallway for consistently practicing reading at home and bringing their reading bags home and back to school.

AFTER SCHOOL COOKING GRADE 4 ROWDEN Cooking classes have started for Mrs. Rowden’s Grade 4 class. There will be one more session to be held on: Tuesday, February 1st , 2011.

YOGA & YOGURT Girls in grades 6 – 8 are invited to come to school at 8:30 to learn yoga and enjoy yogurt for breakfast.

BASKETBALL Please find below a list of game dates and times: Boys Thursday, February 3rd @ St. Michael These games are at 3:45 p.m.

EXTRAVAGANZA FEBRUARY 8TH – 17TH HIGHER SPIRITS FLOOR HOCKEY This afterschool program is for our grade 5 students. All games are afterschool Please ensure that your child has transportation home after the games. All games are played after school from 3:15 to 4:30 p.m. Students arrive back at the school at 4:45.
