Mintos clinch first, to face Yorkton in playoffs

The Prince Albert Mintos are Saskatchewan Midget AAA regular season champions after a 4-1 win over the Notre Dame Hounds Sunday at the Art Hauser Centre. The Mintos claimed top spot despite finishing with the same number of points (67) as the second place Saskatoon Contacts. Prince Albert had the tie breaker for winning the season series 2-0-1-1. The Mintos first round opponent in the playoffs is the Yorkton Harvest. The 8th seeded Harvest had just one win in four games against the Mintos during the regular season. Game one in the best of five series is Tuesday, 7p.m. at the Art Hauser Centre.
