PADIDA looking forward to new year
The Prince Albert Downtown Improvement District Association is hoping 2011 will prove to be a good year for the organization and the city’s downtown region.
On Wednesday the group held its annual general meeting. Newly appointed executive director James Banman, who took over for long-time director and city councillor Jayne Remenda looked back on the previous year and what could happen in the future.
“I’m honestly optimistic. This is going to be a great year. We have three or four new businesses on the rise and will be starting in the next couple of months and that’s going to be excellent,” said Banman.
“And with the announcement of the (Prince Albert Pulp and Paper) mill, that can’t mean anything but good news for downtown.”
