Royal Purple Contest Winners – News and Upcoming Fundraisers

Apr 6, 2011 | 2:05 PM

On Mar.27th Prince Albert/Paddockwood lodge motored to Canwood to take in the District 4 annual meeting.

We were joined by the Shellbrook, Canwood and Big River lodges as well as Sandi Lougheed from National lodge and Collen MacDonald from the Provincial lodge.

The day started with registration and a luncheon and the meeting opened at 1:00 pm We heard how busy all the lodges in the district have been over the past year.

We reviewed bylaws, had information on the Provincial lodge and what they have been doing and a power point presentation from Sandi as to where we want to be by 2014 the year of our 100th anniversary.

We see a lot of changes coming and as we all know this is the world of changes, sometimes change is good and sometime not so good but we must change to keep up with our busy world. We must all remain positive. As Charles Keetering said ” I am not interested in the past. I am interested in the future for that is where I expect to spend the rest of my life”

District Deputy Meada Wilson from Big River was re-elected for another term. A lovely supper was served after the meeting and there was lots of time for good fellowship before heading for home.
