Regina’s mayor to make announcement regarding area of proposed stadium

There are some high expectations as to what Regina's mayor will announce Tuesday morning. Pat Fiacco has been hinting that something big was coming for the last few weeks. Despite specuation it may have to do with a new stadium, Fiacco refused to part with any details when asked Monday.
“We'll be making an announcement on the revitalization of 53 acres of land,” Fiacco said.
Tuesday's event is planned for Regina's warehouse district at 10 a.m. That's also not far from the CP Railyard where a domed stadium was to be built. The plan was scrapped due to a lack of federal funding.
