May 1, 2011 | 7:22 PM

2013 Summer Games Bid is a partnership established between Muskoday, Birch Hills and Prince Albert.

We have submitted our bid package to FSIN in the hopes to host our First ever First Nation Games on our Reserve and surrounding area.

The partnership involves Birch Hills as we will utilize their Golf Course for the Junior Competition and their softball diamonds for one of the divisions.

Prince Albert will play host to the Opening Ceremonies, Senior Golf Competitions, several Softball & Soccer divisions and Track & Field. Muskoday will host competitions in Softball (One Division), Soccer (One Division), Canoeing (all), Archery (All) and Cross Country Running (all).

The athletes village will be at our Pow Wow Grounds and Veteran’s Memorial Park will be the location for our Ceremonial purposes.

Proposed dates are July 17-23, 2013 where over 3,000 athletes will compete in our area. We are bidding to host against four other communities ( LaRonge, Gordon’s, Waterhen & Little Pine).

Tentative dates for site evaluations will happen in the spring and winner of the 2013 Summer Games Bid should be completed by FSIN’s Spring/Summer assembly.
