Health region awards excellence

Volunteers and health employees were honoured for the work that they do.

The Prince Albert Parkland Health Region sponsored the annual health excellence awards Thursday night.

Eight awards were given out, including one to the entire day-surgery team for their approach at Victoria Hospital.

According to health region officials it is important to recognize people for their leadership and commitment to excellence.

The recipients are nominated by their co-workers and the awards are sponsored by the region board.
