Chamber of Commerce – Executive Director Position Available
Title: Chief Executive Officer: Prince Albert & District Chamber of Commerce
Responsibilities:
The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors and functions as the Chief Executive Officer of the organization. The incumbent is responsible for implementation of policies set by the Board of Directors as well as annual goals and objectives, and the financial, program and administrative management of the organization. Guidance and direction is provided by the Directors of the Board. The successful candidate will:
Function as the head of the organization and report to the Board of Directors, with ultimate accountability for service delivery and overall operations of the organization
Provide leadership and/or support in the areas of board governance, strategic planning and continuous improvement
Take responsibility for implementing , or ensuring the implementation of, the strategic priorities and directions identified by the Board of Directors, including the development of any related work plans
Establish the necessary strategic partnerships to fulfill the Vision and Mission and to ensure the delivery of quality services
Help develop, oversee and manage the organization’s budget
Serve as the key primary contact for the Board of Directors, governments and other significant individuals, organizations, associations or networks
Represent the organization in the community and other professional forums
Supervise day-to-day responsibilities of employees
Manage motivation, direction, guidance, support and development of staff
Requirements:
Post secondary degree/diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
Senior leadership experience in a business organization
Experience with developing sponsor partners
Extensive experience within the voluntary sector and knowledge of its current opportunities and challenges
Financial management and fundraising experience
Experience in working with a wide variety of groups, including all levels of government and the community, private sector, media, and voluntary organizations
Demonstrated experience and ability to develop financially sound business plans, establish budgets and manage financial assets and resources within budget parameters
Demonstrated experience in the management of an organization’s responsibilities as they relate to both legal compliance with all policies and legislation
