Wilderness First Aid

The St. John Ambulance First Aid in the Wilderness course is designed for people who live, work or play in the remote areas of our country.
Wilderness first aid presents challenges that are very different from urban first aid. In the wilderness you may have to care for casualties for long periods under unsanitary conditions, exposure to the elements and with very limited supplies. This course will focus on giving first aid in a wilderness environment. The program is provided as a compliment to survival training and does not replace wilderness survival training..

The course is a 16 hour program consisting of theory and hands on skills. A large portion of this course will be held outside. Please dress for the weather. The Course is valid for three (3) years.

The cost of the program is $160.00/person. Prerequisites are valid St. John Ambulance Standard First Aid and CPR Level “A” certificates . The course hours are:
Tuesday July 5th – 8am – 5pm
Wednesday July 6th – 8am – 5pm
