Saskatchewan to be a part of new MS treatment

The Canadian federal government has approved clinical trials for a controversial MS treatment and the Saskatchewan government will be involved.

The Saskatchewan government announced they were going ahead with the trials eight months ago.

Provincial Health Minister Don McMorris says the provincial government doesn't know what the federal program will involve, but that Saskatchewan will be a part of it.

“We have been a leader on this front right from the start. We have money set aside to ensure that Saskatchewan MS sufferers are a part of whatever clinical trial; whether it’s here in Sasaktchewan or part of a National program,” said McMorris.
