SGI employees, represented by the Canadian Office and Professional Employees Union (COPE) will no longer be working overtime effective today.
According to the union, SGI refuses to bend on their wage increase offer of 5.5 per over three years.
In a release, SGI said the overtime ban will cause customer service delays.
The 1550 SGI workers who will halt overtime do a variety of jobs including adjusters, appraisers, and underwriters, as well as other positions across the province.
