Minister of First Nations Ken Cheveldayoff insists consultation between the government and First Nations have already taken place.
He said they even agreed to a potash summit during a meeting between Chiefs and the cabinet back in June.
“I’ve had discussions with the Chamber of Commerce and they are willing to host something like that,” said Cheveldayoff.
He also said he's willing to openly discuss ways that First Nations can benefit from the Jansen Mine project.
