Jul 27, 2011 | 8:22 AM

A Call for Proposals (CFP) for the Enabling Accessibility Fund (EAF) is
underway. The amount of funding requested from EAF cannot exceed $50,000
per project, including applicable taxes. Approximately $5 million is
available for the 2011 Call for Proposals for small projects. Deadline for
applications is September 23, 2011.

Background

The Enabling Accessibility Fund (EAF) was initially announced in Budget 2007
to improve accessibility in communities by contributing to the capital costs
of construction and renovations related to physical accessibility for
persons with disabilities.
Budget 2010 built on the success of this program by extending the EAF and
providing an additional $45,000,000 over three years.
The objective of the EAF is to support community-based projects across
Canada that improve accessibility, reduce barriers and enable Canadians,
regardless of physical ability, to participate in and contribute to their
community and the economy.
