Saskatchewan canola receives a hefty hand
Saskatchewan is trying to cash in on canola, an important crop the federal government wants to make sure remains at the top of our export list.
On Wednesday, Randy Hoback the Tory MP from Prince Albert said the federal government would be giving $1.1 million to help advertise canola.
“We have to get our message out about how much safer or healthier our oil is for consumers,” said Hoback of some countries that still don’t know the crop’s full benefits.
Cory McArthur with the Canola Council of Canada said the money would be put to good use.
