Power outages minor from Saturday’s storm

Saturday’s stormy weather didn’t wreak too much havoc on power within the city.

“Despite some wicked lightening shows and stormy weather whipping through the province last night, power outages in Prince Albert and the area were scattered and relatively small in most cases,” said Janelle Cannon, SaskPower spokeswoman.

“Customers who did experience outages yesterday would have been confined to small areas at the time.”

She said it was very fortunate that the power outages were so minimal with the size of the storm that ripped through the area.

Everything should be back to normal, Cannon said, adding they worked quickly to restore power to customers Saturday night.
