Man at large from correctional facility caught after police chase

One man is in custody after a brief police chase in Saskatoon's core.

An officer tried to pull over a suspicious driver near 21st Street and Avenue I around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, but the driver took off.

Saskatoon police managed to stop the car in the 200 block of Avenue N South.

Police say the 46-year-old driver was on the run from a correctional facility. He also had several other provincial-status warrants.
