Grassfire season has begun

Buckland emergency services responded to a small grassfire near Buckland Road just off Highway 3 Saturday afternoon.

The fire, although small, was very close to local homes.

Jim Miller, fire chief of Buckland emergency services said it was the third grassfire they have responded to so far this year.
