Saskatchewan provincial parks open this week
May 11, 2015 | 12:32 PM
It’s one of the first signs that summer is on the way – Saskatchewan’s provincial parks open for business on Thursday.
The parks open for the long weekend on May 14, but the alcohol ban from previous years will still be in place through the holiday Monday.
Because it’s so early in the season, the government says some services at parks may not be working yet, there could be ice on some lakes still, and there may be a precautionary drinking water advisory in some areas. Click here for a full listing of park updates.
It could be a busy year at Saskatchewan parks; more bookings were made during the launch week this year than any other year.
