Forest fire smoke has recently become a concern in parts of Eastern Saskatchewan.
Environment Canada has posted a weather alert for Melfort, Tisdale, Nipawin and Carrot River as well as multiple other areas of the province.
According to the website, smoke coming from the forest fires in Northern Saskatchewan is affecting the air in both Northern and Central Saskatchewan.
Although not a major concern at this time, it could affect areas near the ground, giving skies a hazy appearance and resulting in deterioration of air quality.
