VIDEO: Plane involved in mid-air crash east of Fort McMurray lands

Two people are dead after two small planes collided mid-air east of Fort McMurray Sunday night.

Mounties say one of the planes landed safely. The lone pilot inside wasn’t hurt.

Meanwhile, a medical helicopter searched for the other plane and found that it had crashed east of the city. When police arrived at the crash site officers confirmed two people in the aircraft were dead.

A cell phone video captured the landing of the plane that returned to the airport.
