Donations Being Accepted for Evacuees in Prince Albert

Jul 4, 2015 | 1:16 PM

To date, there are over 5,000 evacuees who are receiving services in Prince Albert, North Battleford, Saskatoon, Regina, and other nearby communities. No one will be turned away, workers will accommodate all evacuees, according to a Government of SK news release. In Prince Albert, many are at SIAST Woodland Campus and Carlton Highschool.

Those wanting to donate may do so at SIAST, Salvation Army and Senator Allen Bird Gymnasium. Things needed right now are drinks, wash up items like soaps, hand lotions; baby items, sleeping items: blankets, pillows, camping mattresses and anything to help people be more comfortable while away from home.

Only donate money through the Red Cross or Salvation Army.

There will be a fundraiser concert at the Kinsmen Park on Sunday where donations are also being accepted.
