Waskesiu, Prince Albert National Park – Update July 6, 2015

Waskesiu and Prince Albert National Park are open. Narrows Road/Campground & Namekus Road/Campground open!
– Enjoy Waskesiu and the many amenities available: shops, restaurants, golf course, beaches and more!
– Camp in Waskesiu, at The Narrows, Namekus Lake and Sandy Lake.
– Enjoy the many beaches and trails throughout the park!
– Nature Centre open daily and family programs underway.
– Check with the Visitor Centre at (306) 663-4522 or online at www.pc.gc.ca/princealbert or www.waskesiulake.ca for more details.
– Explore Crean Lake and the back country (except Kingemere area) for the day!

To ensure your safety:
– A fire ban is in effect (no open fires in campgrounds, at picnic sites, or in kitchen shelters). Propane or charcoal briquette barbecues and propane or naptha camp stoves can still be used.
– The north shore road (beyond Heart Lakes where the pavement ends) to Kingsmere Lake is closed to day and overnight use.
– No overnight camping in the back country.
– There are fire fighting and safety resources available if needed.
– Fire fighting crews are clearing downed trees and carrying out other preventative protection efforts around Waskesiu and in the park.
