PA Minor Football News

Jul 10, 2015 | 12:02 PM

Another exciting fall season of PA Minor Football is coming up soon!

We have two fall programs; for Pee Wees (age 10 to 12), and Bantams (age 13 & 14). All of the necessary equipment is provided except cleats and water bottles!

The Prince Albert Minor Football Association is offering a $75.00 early registration discount for all pre-registrations received online at our website, http://www.pariverriders.com, by the end of this month- Friday, July 31st. Payment is not collected until our equipment fitting evening which will be held Sunday, August 23rd from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Crescent Heights Arena on Branion Drive.

It is important that we get as many players registered as possible before July 31st as we must let our league, the Saskatoon Kinsmen Football League, know how many teams we will be entering by the KFL Annual General Meeting in early August.

The reduced registration fee is $175.00. A $250.00 equipment deposit is also required, which may be a cheque post-dated to the end of our regular season, October 19th. Deposits are refunded when all of the equipment is returned at the end of the season.

Prince Albert Minor Football will be participating in the Exhibition parade on Monday, July 27th. Players, parents, coaches, and board members representing all of our programs will be there, including non-contact programs from ages 4 to 10 (Little Tykes TrainHard and Flag Football), and our tackle programs- our spring 6-A-Side programs (Pee Wee, Bantam, and Senior for players in Grade 9 to 11) and our fall 12 player programs for Pee Wees and Bantams. We have also been invited by a prominent local business to participate in a charitable promotion coming soon!

As Prince Albert Minor Football programs continue to steadily grow, we are looking for more coaches. Interested in helping coach? Please contact Bob Coffin at boblcoffin@hotmail.com or (306) 922-4184. Also, the Prince Albert Football Officials’ Association is looking for more referees.
