Air show prepares for take off
There will be lots of people likely headed out to the Prince Albert airport this week for the 2015 Air Show.
Traffic along 2nd Avenue West is expected to be slowed down due to the air show. Prince Albert Police said they expect traffic congestion between 4:30p.m. and 6 p.m. as well as between 7:45 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
Police will be controlling the intersection of 2nd Avenue and 15th Street West during peak times. During those times there will be no East/West traffic and no left hand turns made from any direction in the intersection. Right hand turns and north/south thru traffic will be the only flow of vehicles. Police said there will be no stopping along the road at any time on Highway 55 during the air show.
During the exiting of the show on Wednesday Police will also be controlling Highway 55 east and west bound traffic. Priority will be given to vehicles exiting the Air Show.
