Evacuation order continues for Hall Lake and Clam Lake Bridge

While most evacuees have returned home, there are still a couple communities under threat from fire.

Chief Tammy Cook-Searson issued a statement Tuesday night, saying the evacuation order remains in effect for Hall Lake and Clam Lake Bridge.

The communities are in the direct line of the “Stowers Fire.”    

Cook-Searson said the fire is three kilometers from Hall Lake and 10 kilometers from Clam Lake Bridge. 

Other fire updates:

“Cog Fire,” fire line is complete around the Cog fire and Wildfire Management hopes to have the fire contained and will be able to remove the sprinkler system from the Holy Trinity Church in Stanley Mission. (Oldest Building in Saskatchewan) 

WFM is continuing to work on the “Lynx, Bob and Brian Fires,” continuing to work the fires to keep Highway 102 and Highway 916 open. 

The Whyte fire in the Bow River Area is being worked on, the cat line on South side of the fire is complete. 

“Carey Fire,” Hunter’s Bay, Pickerel Bay and Wapawekka area- being assessed, WFM may do a back burn or put ground crews to get the hotspots.
