Former mayor to be acclaimed Liberal candidate

A familiar face is joining the campaign race in the Prince Albert riding.

Gordon Kirkby, former Prince Albert mayor and member of Parliament, will be acclaimed as the Liberal candidate during a nomination meeting Thursday night.

The meeting will be held at the Best Western Inn in Prince Albert.

Kirkby was MP for the former Prince Albert – Churchill River riding from 1993 to 1997.  The riding was abolished and has since been restructured into the Prince Albert riding.
