Hannah Leflar’s accused murderer will not be granted bail

Aug 25, 2015 | 5:17 PM

One of the two teenagers accused of murdering 16-year-old Hannah Leflar who was hoping to get out on bail will instead be staying in jail.

Bail reports had been previously ordered for the teen, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. Those reports favoured him staying in jail, and his defense lawyer agreed in court Tuesday morning, consenting for him to remain in remand.

Hannah was found dead at a home on Garnet Street Norththis past January.

Both boys were 16 when they were charged with first degree murder. Their lawyers asked for them to be tried separately. The other teen remains in jail.
