Guhle to face Team Russia

Raiders defenceman Brendan Guhle will be a part of Team WHL’s roster for the 2015 CHL Canada Russia Series.

The Sherwood Park, Alta. native was selected to the roster after returning last week from the National Hockey League’s Buffalo Sabres.

In four games this season with the Raiders, Guhle has recorded four assists.

Guhle was taken by the Sabres in the second round, 51st overall, in the 2015 NHL Draft.

The six-foot-two, 189-pound blue liner was signed by the NHL team to a three-year entry-level contract on July 27. Guhle dressed in all 72 games for the Raiders last season, compiling five goals and 27 assists for 32 points.

Team WHL will face Team Russia in Game 1 of the 2015 Canada Russia Series in Kelowna, B.C. on Monday, Nov. 9 and will continue the series on Tuesday, Nov. 10, with Game 2 in Kamloops, B.C.

 

The schedule for the 2015 Canada Russia Series is as follows:

Game 1 – Monday, November 9 at Kelowna, BC

Game 2 – Tuesday, November 10 at Kamloops, BC

Game 3 – Thursday, November 12 at Owen Sound, ON

Game 4 – Monday, November 16 at Windsor, ON

Game 5 – Tuesday, November 17 at Rouyn-Noranda, QC

Game 6 – Thursday, November 19 at Halifax, NS

 

The 2015 Canada Russia Series will be nationally broadcasted in its entirety live on Sportsnet and TVA Sports.
