Reid Gardiner added to WHL Roster for Canada-Russia Series

The Raiders have announced that Reid Gardiner has been added to the Team WHL Roster for the Canada-Russia series.

The 19-year-old Raiders assistant captain will be part of the Nov. 9 and Nov. 10 showdown against the Russians.

Gardiner scored his 10th goal of the season in Wednesday night’s 4-0 win over Edmonton and is tied for first in the league for scoring with 24 points.

The right winger from Humboldt was originally left off the WHL Roster.

In both of the past two years he’s attended National Hockey League camps with the Minnesota Wild and Vancouver Canucks, respectively.

Gardiner has played 205 games in the WHL and has recorded 73 goals and 79 assists for a total of 152 points.

Also on Team WHL will be Raiders defenceman Brendan Guhle.

The Raiders are currently riding a seven game winning streak heading into the weekend’s home games against Victoria on Friday and Swift Current on Saturday.
