Oct 30, 2015 | 7:32 AM

The call for nominations has begun for the 34th annual Terry Fox Award in Prince Albert.

The award is presented annually by the city to a person who best emulates the ideals and inspirations of the late Terry Fox. It is given to someone under the age of 21 that best recognizes good citizenship including exceptional service to school, social, athletic, civic or church institutions.

The City has been presenting the award since 1981, which was the year after Terry Fox began his Marathon of Hope. Recent recipients of the Terry Fox Award include Konnor Schillings and Bailey Oleksyn in 2014, Brittany Hudak in 2013 and Tristan Albert in 2012.

Eligibility criteria and nomination forms are available on the city’s website or at the Community Services Department Office on the third floor at City Hall.
