Fatal rollover marks otherwise quiet weekend for Parkland Ambulance Paramedics

A vehicle rollover marked a quiet weekend for Parkland Ambulance Paramedics.

The vehicle crashed Friday night, leaving one dead and six injured. Parkland paramedics cared for a 23-year-old woman and a 24-year old male. Other people injured in the crash were cared for by Spiritwood-Big River EMS.

The 23-year-old woman has since been taken Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, where she remains in stable condition.

Paramedics also responded to several assaults.

Friday afternoon a 51-year-old woman was taken to hospital for an assault in the 800 block of 17th St. W.

Later on Friday a 23-year-old man was cared for and taken to hospital with minor injuries. He’d been assaulted in the 500 block of 6th St. E.

Just outside the city in the rural municipallity of P.A. paramedics treated a 23-year-old male for minor injuries. He was taken to hospital.

Late Saturday an assault in the 3400 block of 2nd Ave. W. brought the attentions of paramedics. A 37-year-old man was taken to hospital for further care with minor injuries.
