RCMP investigate attempted armed robbery in Shell Lake

The RCMP is investigating an attempted armed robbery in Shell Lake Monday night.

The attempted robbery happened at a gas station in the community around 8:30 p.m. An employee was approached in the parking lot by someone with a knife.

The male suspect was wearing a mask and dark clothing and demanded that the employee give him money. 

After making the demand, the suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction without any money.  The gas station employee was not hurt.
