Another option in the fight against vandals

Homeowners in Prince Albert have another tool at their disposal in the fight against graffiti.

This summer, Bylaw enforcement is offering the student graffiti program, which gives property owners the chance to have graffiti painted over free of charge. Bylaw Manager Suzanne Stubbs said it is important to deal with graffiti as soon as possible.

“It’s really important to remove graffiti off the property. It just kind of shows people in the area that you care about your property and you’re monitoring it,” she said.

Stubbs said when graffiti is dealt with in the first 72 hours by a property owner there is a smaller chance of that property being targeted in the future.
