POLL: City closes down multiple roads on Thursday

Jul 18, 2013 | 6:48 AM

Getting around the City of Prince Albert on Thursday may be a little bit harder than usual for motorists.

The unit-block of 10th Street West will be shut down while it undergoes paving work. It should re-open by the end of the day.

Repair work

Second Avenue East and 10th Street will be closed on Thursday to accommodate a water tie-in. The city expects the work to be done by the end of the day if the weather co-operates.

Sixth Avenue West between 21st and 22nd Street will also be closed for repairs on Thursday. The work in this area is to accommodate a boulevard repair and is expected to be done by the end of the day.

However, more boulevard repairs will take place on Friday in the area, closing down Sixth Avenue West between 20th and 21st Street.

The road is expected to re-open by the end of Friday.

As always, motorists are reminded to use caution and reduce speed in work zones.
