Police arrest two men accused of robbing woman, Tasering her

Prince Albert Police responded to a report of a woman being robbed and allegedly Tasered outside of a business this weekend. That was among a notably busy weekend for members.

Prince Albert Police responded to 313 calls for service over the long weekend. Most of the calls were for intoxicated people and disturbances. There were 52 arrests made.

Two men were charged in connection with an incident that involved a woman getting Tasered and robbed. The woman was assaulted outside a business on the 200 block of Ninth St. E. on Saturday night. The woman said she was robbed when she was standing outside. During the incident she was able to grab the Taser. The men were later identified through a surveillance video.

In a separate unrelated incident, police arrested an 18-year-old man who is charged with assault. The incident occurred in the 200 block of First Avenue West on Monday. Police responded to a complaint of a woman and man fighting in the area around 1 a.m. The man is scheduled to appear in court this week.
