Business community inquires about spending

Jun 29, 2019 | 8:33 AM

The Prince Albert and District Chamber of Commerce wants to know where people are spending their money.

To accomplish this, the chamber is asking residents to take an online survey which asks residents in P.A. and area about their shopping habits.

“Are they spending it here, within our community or are they going outside of the community,” said CEO Elise Hildebrandt.

Those interested in taking the survey can find the link to it by going to the organization’s Facebook page. They will also be making the survey available on their website. People who do participate can have their name entered into a draw to win a gift card for a local business.

Along with looking at where people are spending their money the chamber CEO said they are interested in seeing what businesses specifically people are spending their money at. Hildebrandt said they would appreciate as many responses as possible.

Hildebrandt said the chamber doesn’t have any immediate concerns prompting them to launch the survey, but are more so interested in finding out more facts, like how much online shopping are people doing and other relevant questions.

“It’s just like, ‘alright let’s review and see if that is a real thing that is happening,”’ she said.

The survey closes Sept. 2.
