Lobstick match play starts off with a splash

The match play portion of the 2016 Conexus Men’s Lobstick kicked off on Wednesday in Waskesiu. Shawn Strelau, who shot a Waskesiu record of 63 on Monday, advanced into the second draw of the Championship Flight by beating Anthony Renneberg.

Prince Albert’s Martin Ring, a 23 seed in the Championship Flight, upset the 10^th ranked Andrew Zaba. P.A.’s Cory Selander beat Blake Coben, and now faces another Coben on Thursday, the six-time Senior Lobstick winner Colin Coben. Danny Klughart, originally from Prince Albert, beat Jason Gallon while Brett Henry beat Dan Morin.
