Olympic medallist Sam Edney returns to luge as high-performance manager
CALGARY — Four-time Olympic luger Sam Edney is returning to the sport as Luge Canada’s high-performance manager.
Edney, 34, retired following the 2018 Winter Olympics after helping Canada claim silver in the relay with teammates Alex Gough, Tristan Walker and Justin Snith.
Edney recently finished his business degree at Royal Roads University in Victoria.
He was the first Canadian man to win a World Cup gold in 2014, when he was victorious on his home track in Calgary.
