“We take families step-by-step through the planning, from the first time they step through our door right through to the day of the funeral,” Turcotte says. “It is about going above and beyond, exceeding people’s expectations and providing the personal touch.”

She says clients can sometimes be intimidated by making funeral arrangements. “It’s a scary place to come in a time of need. They’re feeling extremely vulnerable and we’re proud to offer a comfortable atmosphere for families.”

“Funerals are a time for compassion,” Turcotte says, “and we believe putting the focus on comforting the family and honoring the loved one is of utmost importance.”

The legacy of the Beau “Lac” Funeral business began in 1994 when George and Delores Beaulac achieved their dream of opening their first funeral home in Spiritwood. From there the family and the business expanded to Big River and Shellbrook.

They’re proud of their heritage as a family owned and operated funeral home, providing the highest quality services and facilities.

Turcotte says she was drawn to working with the Beaulac’s by their compassion and dedication to families.

“Everything we do is about helping a family in any way they need and I was inspired by how touching and caring the Beaulac’s were,” she says.

Pre-arrangements have become an increasingly popular option to alleviate any of the questions, problems or differences which can happen when planning a service. Turcotte says they’re fully prepared to help families prepare and arrangements can be made in the comfort of your home or their office.
