Coben’s long Sr. Lobstick title streak in jeopardy
Delisle’s Colin Coben has won the past seven Senior Men’s Lobstick tournaments at the Waskesiu Golf Course, but that streak is in jeopardy.
After two of the tournament’s three days, Coben sits in a three-way tie for 10th along with Waskesiu’s Randy Selin and High River’s Jim Hargeaves at +13. That’s 13 strokes back of the two leaders, West Kelowna’s Glen Erickson and Calgary’s Scott Dutton, who sit at even par after two rounds.
Erickson shot a sterling 66 on Tuesday to kick off the tournament, but followed it up with a 74 on Wednesday. Dutton shot a 69 on Day 1, with a 71 on Day 2.
The rest of the field is over par, starting with Warren Gnam of Medicine Hat who is +4.
