Bears head into last weekend in 3rd place after two big wins

The Prince Albert Northern Bears will head into the last weekend of their regular season of the Saskatchewan Female Midget AAA Hockey League in third place after two lopsided wins over the Weyburn Gold Wings.

The Bears beat the Gold Wings 10-3 on Friday and 11-0 on Saturday, with both games coming on the road.

Despite the Bears scoring 10 goals on Friday, Jasper Desmarais was the only player to score multiple goals with two.

On Saturday, Miranda Heidt an unbelievable seven-point night with two goals and five helpers.

The Bears will cap off their regular season on Friday and Saturday against the second-ranked Regina Rebels.

They will also wear special Humboldt Broncos-themed jerseys, which will be auctioned off. Proceeds will go towards the SJHL’s Mental Assistance Fund.
