Highway 3 West down to single lane after crash

Highway 3 heading towards Shellbrook was reduced to single lane traffic after a two vehicle collision Monday morning.

Two people were hurt in the incident near Par Place around 6:45 a.m.

Parkland paramedics said they cared for a 24 year old man with injuries. He was described as in good and stable condition.

A second 19 year old man had injuries described as serious but in stable condition.

Both are currently in hospital receiving further care.

RCMP were reminding motorists to reduce their speed to 60 k/m/h when passing emergency vehicles.

The collision is currently under investigation and the road was expected to re-open to two lanes by 11 a.m.
