Four P.A. players selected in SJHL Draft

Four Prince Albert Venice House Bantam Pirates were selected at the 2019 SJHL Draft on Friday.

Matthew Henry, Cole Tanchuk, Linden Gamble and Ryan Lepitzki are all property of SJHL teams now. Henry went in the first round to the Battlefords Sharks, 11th overall. Cole Tanchuk, who was also drafted in the WHL by the Seattle Thunderbirds in the fifth round, went in the second round to the Flin Flon Bombers. Gamble and Lepitzki both landed in the fifth round, to the La Ronge Ice Wolves and Humboldt Broncos respectively.

In addition four Prince Albert Raiders’ prospects went in the draft as well. The Ice Wolves selected Canwood’s Dallyn Peekeekoot was the opening pick of the second round. Saskatoon’s Liam Rodman went three picks after him to the Notre Dame Hounds, Warman’s Tre Fouquette went in the fourth round to La Ronge and Martensville’s Max Hildebrand was a fourth round pick of the Bombers.
