Special forces unit seizes drugs, cash

The Prince Albert Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU) seized two kilograms of methamphetamine and $1,000 in cash in a vehicle stop near North Battleford last week.

CFSEU also executed five search warrants in the Prince Albert area that resulted in the seizure of two handguns, ammunition, a money counter, drug trafficking paraphernalia, and a large amount of cocaine cutting agent.

Three people have been charged in connection with the investigation, including Maggie Clarke, 22. Clarke is charged with multiple offences including possession of methamphetamine for the purposes of trafficking and possession of a firearm for a dangerous purpose.

Anthony Grant Pederson, 33, is also facing multiple charges, including possession of a firearm for a dangerous purpose

Clarke was scheduled to be back in court again Monday, while Pederson is set to appear on Wednesday.

Kassie Svendsen, 22 is also charged with careless storage of a firearm and possession of a prohibited firearm without a license in relation to the investigation. Svendsen will make her first appearance in court in Prince Albert on April 24.
