Multiple arrests as police crack down on drug trafficking

Over the weekend, Meadow Lake RCMP members searched six houses and charged seven as part of an ongoing effort to deter drug trafficking and criminal activity in the community.

The Crime Reduction Team, Emergency Response Team, the Prince Albert Integrated Street Enforcement Team and the Police Dog Service joined local RCMP members.

Of the seven arrested, four were for outstanding warrants in other incidents.

Brenden Yew, 24, was charged with possession of a prohibited weapon and intimidation of a justice participant.

Candice Sergeew, 40, was charged with possession of meth and cocaine.

Keenan Partridge, 21, was charged with possession of meth and possession of cannabis for distribution.

Sidney Head Senior, 63, was charged with trafficking.

Sidney Head Junior, 40, was charged with two counts of failure to comply.

Mervin Villebrun, 51, was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Elizabeth Skyopyk, 43, was charged with possession.
