Bail hearing held in local stabbing case

The man charged after a violent incident at a Prince Albert gas station this month, has been denied bail.

Mike Wytosky, 57, appeared Monday morning at Prince Albert Provincial Court.

The case dates back to March 9 at the Co-Op gas bar and convenience store on Marquis Road. A 48-year-old woman was taken to hospital with stab wounds. Wytosky was later charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault.

Police have said the victim and the accused knew each other. Wytosky’s next court appearance has been scheduled for April 17.
