Sep 16, 2014 | 12:34 PM

A man charged with the kidnapping and beating of his ex-fiancée last spring in Saskatoon entered guilty pleas on three charges this morning in provincial court.

Clinton McLaughlin, 36, pleaded guilty to aggravated assault, kidnapping and breach of a court order.

The ex-bouncer sat with his back to the court room wearing a prison issued orange sweater as his lawyer and the Crown detailed an arrangement that will see another charge of unlawful confinement stayed once he is sentenced on Nov. 21.

Mariana Cracogna was the subject of a massive police and media campaign after McLaughlin kidnapped her May 30. She was found badly beaten June1 on the side of a highway after managing to escape.
